What does JOY look like?

Did you know when Jesus walked this earth children had no value. They were considered burdens and a nuisance. When parents brought their children to Jesus, the disciples tried to shoo them away. They did not want Jesus to be bothered with them. Jesus said, "Let the little children come unto me." And He blessed each one. This was just as significant then as it is today. Let those the world says have no value or worth come to Jesus. They shall be first and the first shall be last. I found these children in a preschool is Kampala, Uganda. Many are orphans from AIDS, about 40% have HIV. They are the poorest of the poor. Their houses flood with sewer water when it rains. Several have watched their mothers die. Their fathers were overwhelmed with the burden of raising a child and disappeared. But through it all, these children still have joy. It is written on their faces. They have hope. It is etched on their hearts. Every day they learn about Jesus, the one who loves them unconditionally and without boundaries or breaking points. This is what joy looks like. Take a look:
